Closing out blog...

Well, the adoption went beautifully and we are just trying to settle into life as parents! We are not home, otherwise I could attach some pictures of sweet Ella. She is just awesome and we love being a mom and a dad. I'll probably get rid of this blog and start one about her and us!  Stay updated...

Everything's going great!!!

Well, I don't know how much I can say on the post since nothing is final still, but the baby was born!!! She is gorgeous, but I can't post any pictures publicly until she is ours.  The birthmom did sign, so we are just waiting out the time period for the dad.  31 days total, and we are on day 5!!!

Here are some gorgeous flowers a super sweet friend of mine got for us on the day our birthmom signed...it was a really important day!! Can't wait to post pics!

It's official---we're matched!!

Yes, this post is a little delayed. That's because just when we least expected it, we got matched with the most incredible birthmom. She is beautiful, kind, and a perfect match for us. We can't wait to see how it all works out- a tad nervous, because nothing is official until it's official, but we are honestly enjoying the process now and celebrating!  We talked a couple weeks ago on the phone, and then we met over spring break.  We have been emailing back and forth all weekend- and she's due to deliver any day! She is having a girl...we can't wait to meet baby Ella!

My fabulous baby bag!!!

I couldn't find a diaper bag that I really liked, so I asked the amazing Anicka Olsen to consider making one for me.  I love what she came up with! It's so cute, and I'm proud to have a Rainy Day Design bag ready for baby Cox!

The incredible gifts....

We recently received some incredible gifts for the baby...which have blessed our socks off! The first one came on Valentine's Day from our dear friend Wendy. She woke up in the middle of the night and felt God urging her to write this poem down. She did, and ended up creating this amazing gift...Danny and I both cried when we read it. I cry every time I read it again, which has been a lot of crying, since I can't stop looking at it :)

The next amazing gift has been from my awesome Auntie Carol and cousin Kelsey! They made quilts for baby mystery!!! They are AWESOME, and so soft and perfect. Can't wait to wrap up a snuggly little baby in them. So excited to try them out.

The stroller/car seat

We love it. Soooo tempted to take the sock monkey out for a walk at the park to see how it handles :)
